Your First Visit Expectation

You’ve decided to visit a coach, but you’re not quite sure what to expect on your first visit.

The following page describes what happens in our office on the first appointment. During the first visit, we will complete the following:

• Consultation
• Examination of your business (if you decide that you would like our help)
• Diagnostic studies (if indicated by examination)

Consultation

During your initial visit, you will sit down with the coach, and discuss the reason for your visit. This is a time where you and the coach will have an open discussion, so that he can attempt to get a better understanding of your situation. Topics usually include:

• What do you expect from the coach?
• Where do you think your coach can assist you?
• What do you think is the cause of your situation?
• How is your situation affecting your business and life?
• Is there anything that improves or worsens your situation?
• What solutions have you already tried, and how successful were they?

Examination

The next step will only take place if you decide that you want our help after the initial consultation. The examination will need to be performed to evaluate your current situation and further develop a working diagnosis. In addition to general examination the coach may include specific assessments.

Diagnostic Studies

Diagnostic studies help pinpoint more accurately areas that need addressing.

It may be helpful to bring with you any copies of your current business plan and any market studies.

Diagnosis

The combination of the history, examination, and diagnostic studies (if necessary) will help us to determine the best course of action. We will then be able to determine if coaching or mentoring care can improve your business.

If we determine that your needs would be more appropriately treated by or in collaboration with another professional, we will make the proper referral.

Action Plan

If, after your history, exam, and any necessary diagnostic studies, you decide that you want us to help, then the coach will put together a plan to help you elevate your business & achieve your goals.
